Project Description

Polyacrylamide (PAM)

  • Polyacrylamide is a linear water-soluble polymer and the most important coagulant in sewage treatment.
  • Polyacrylamide is divided into cationic polyacrylamide, anionic polyacrylamide, and non-ionic polyacrylamide.
  • The advanced treatment stage of most urban sewage plants adopts polyaluminum chloride + anionic polyacrylamide process, which can achieve satisfactory results.
  • Polyaluminum chloride + cationic polyacrylamide may be selected in the sludge dewatering stage of the municipal sewage plant.
  • What kind of polyacrylamide to choose needs to be determined experimentally. Anionic polyacrylamide agents are mainly used for flocculation of sewage with high alkaline or inorganic content or negative charges; cationic polyacrylamide agents are mainly used for acidic or Sewage with more positive charges has a good flocculation effect.
  • The unit price of polyacrylamide is very expensive, but the dosage is small and the effect is very good when used reasonably.
